Muhammad Asfandeyar is associated with Bahria University Islamabad as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Head, AI Applied Technologies Research Center, Wing Natural Language Processing. Previously, he has been associated with CSIT, University of Engineering Technology, Peshawar, and NUCES FAST, Peshawar, Pakistan. Asfandeyar received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Vienna University of Technology, Vienna, Austria in 2011 and a Bachelor’s (BS (CS)) and Master’s degree (MS) from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. After his Ph.D. in Computer Science, he did 2 Post Docs both earned by winning the scholarship. His first postdoc was with SBA Secure Business Austria, Vienna, Austria. His task was to design an Ontology Model for the Digital Rights Management Systems. It was a project on banking systems in Austria. The second post-doc was from ERCIM Maria Swarovski. He was assigned tasks to integrate the data of Building Information Management (BIM) and Building Location Information. It was a project of Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. His research interests include data analytics, natural language processing, semantic web (ontologies), and deep (machine) learning techniques. Currently, he is supervising various projects for under-graduate and post-graduate programs.
